Join AzAN's Immigration Task Force
AzAN has become a recognized and valued leader in the Immigration Justice movement.  In partnership with other organizations we have worked to stop indiscriminate immigration raids and end the 287(g) program that allows local law enforcement to arrest and incarcerate undocumented immigrants.  We have joined in calling on Congress and the Department of Justice to investigate Sheriff Joe Arpaio's office and we were co-leaders of the Reform Not Raids National Immigration Summit.  The two-day event exposed how the current piecemeal approach to immigration hurts families, communities, and the economy.  Using tested messages from our national partners, our task force has devised and is delivering a new presentation that will engage moderates in supporting Comprehensive Immigration Reform.   With broader support among people like you, we can move Congress to act on Comprehensive Immigration Reform.

Join AzAN's Democracy and Elections Task Force
For the past six elections, AzAN has worked in partnership with the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights under Law and other groups to train and deploy large numbers of volunteers who job it is to help voters that are wrongly turned away from the polls.  Attorneys trained in Arizona election law staff our 1-866-OUR-VOTE hotline to help voters on the spot.  We have worked to protect and strengthen Clean Elections and remove barriers to civic participation.

In response to the article "When Policy Becomes Personal" in The Arizona Republic

It is easy to stereotype people we don't know, and even convince ourselves that our suspicions are valid.  This is certainly true is we honestly evaluate our reactions to immigration concerns.  Attitudes change when we personally know people caught between hope and reality. Read more.
